‘Will Calver is a painter based in Kent and Cornwall. In his paintings he combines the techniques of classical figuration with a freer hand. The paintings are made from life in an alla prima mode, working from direct observation and drawings. This entails spending time in the immediate presence of the subject and discovering its individuality.’

“Painting becomes meditative, slowing down our fast paced world. Through mindful observation, the everyday is seen in a new light.”
